Jan Kulczyk is a respected business partner both in Poland and international markets. He was the first Pole to be placed on the Forbes 500 World’s Richest People List. Having acquired a stake in SABMiller Plc, he was Poland’s first entrepreneur to become a significant shareholder of a global corporation.

Jan Kulczyk was the first businessman of the free-market Poland. In 1991, he created an investment group, Kulczyk Holding, which specialized in infrastructural investments as well as the privatizing and restructuring of companies.

In 2007, Kulczyk Holding was reorganized to fulfil the global ambitions of its investors and Kulczyk Investments was formed. Kulczyk Investments is an international investment company, focused on the creation of deals and investment opportunities in global emerging markets.

Jan Kulczyk, supports many social and economic organizations. He is a co-founder of the Polish Business Roundtable, a prestigious organization embracing Polish business leaders. He was the Chairman of the Polish - German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Poland and is now its Honorary President. From 2005 to 2007 Jan Kulczyk was the President of the Polish-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce. He is a member of the International Board of Governors at The Peres Centre for Peace.

Since October 2006, Jan Kulczyk has been a member of the Board of Directors of Green Cross International. On 6th October 2007 he was appointed the new Chairman of the Board of Directors, replacing the previous incumbent Mikhail Gorbachev, who in turn became the Honorary Chairman of Green Cross International and a member of the Board. Born in 1950 in Bydgoszcz. He graduated from the Faculty of Law at the Adam Mickiewicz University and from Postgraduate Studies of Foreign Trade at the Poznan University of Economics. He holds a Ph.D. in international law.
