Joan Peitersen - Chairman

For 20 years she has been involved in social policy work. In 1990 – 1995, she studied social and organizational managing at Ålborg university and on the Danish School of Administration management, and went to a Private school for three years in Communication. From 1995–2000, she was consultant in a knowledge management company specialised in the Learning Organization by Peter Senge. Between 2000-2004, she was co-founder and partner in a consultant group developing Change Management and Lean products. She studied Mediator conciliation. She has worked in Denmark, Nepal and the Faroe Islands.

Kristian Mørk Puggaard - Strategy Director
Special advisor in innovation policy within the Danish Ministry of Economic and Business Affairs where he has project management responsibility for developing the Danish Innovation policy and for innovation policy analysis. He has worked with business development such as innovation policy, design policy and corporate social responsibility policy for several years. Before he has worked at the Danish Technological Institute. He is involved with social work at Save the Children Denmark. He has taught sociology at university level. He holds a master degree in political science from the University of Aarhus and L'Institut d'Études Politiques de Paris.

Ulla Røtger - Vice-Chairman, Engineeer and Director of the Incineration Plant of Copenhagen.

Palle Westergaard - Board Member
International Senior Expert in Informal Education: Life Long Learning, Vocational and Educational Training and Civil Society development. For many years, He has been a Teacher, Principal and Director of Educational institutions on Primary and Secondary level and for Training institutions in Adult Education and Training. Besides he have experience from management of NGO organizations. He has worked in the countries of the Balkans, Afghanistan and Qatar. Director for South East European Centre for Open Education (SEE Centre Sarajevo). Educated from The Danish University of Education, Copenhagen. Experience from Conflict Resolution and Mediation.

Ejgil Aagaard - Board member, Vice-President for seniores without borders. Former head of center for develope and reseach and youth education.

Søren Olrik Eklund - Legal Advisor
Lawyer who specializes in Company Law and Employment Law and work as a Legal Advisor for start-up companies. He holds a Master Degree in Law from the University of Copenhagen. Previous he has worked as Project Manager in the Danish Commerce and Companies Agency where he were involved in legal administration and lawmaking processes. For several years, he worked as a voluntary advisor and board member at Copenhagen Legal Aid.

Green Cross Denmark’s board was established in 2007.
In 2007 Green Cross Denmark became a welknowend NGO in Denmark.
Green Cross Denmark has a great variation of kompetences and a big national network within
Environmental skills, peace building, and knowledge about how to manage projects. Green Cross Denmark has now in 2008 an influented place in Denmark.

Green Cross Denmark´s main focus:
• Environmental projects..
• Sustainable buisness development.
• Gennerally education.

Green Cross denmark are iving our support to this project:

WORLD WIDE VIEWS ON GLOBAL WARMING

The UN’s climate summit will take place in Copenhagen from the 30th of
November to the 11th of December 2009. It is expected that ministers from more
than 170 countries will participate, as well as 8.000 other participants consisting of
government officials, representatives of NGO’s, business and industry. The goal of
the Danish hosts is to reach an agreement regarding a predecessor to the Kyoto-
protocol and thereby outline the global climate policy for the coming years.


Hopefully start up in 2008:

Developing an environmental and sustainability educational programme in Sunderbann in India.

A project together whit GC Pakistan.

A project together whit GC Burkino Faso.

-National programs
Establishing the Green Cross youth progamme, within climate politic, innovation and education at some Technical Danish schools. The pupils at the different schools are around 16- 18 years old.
Participating in cop15-forum, preparing the COP15 meeting in Copenhagen.
Establishing a method that shows how companyes can follow projects and be interested in donating to projects in developing countries.
Establishing a honory board and a network whith Danish experts in climate change, everonmental issues, sustainability, and alternative energy.

Participating and preparing events concerning the COP15 meeting 2009.

Communicating the values off Green Cross and Earth Charter, through our network, and through the media.
